Why CPMM

Raydium's CPMM is the modern pool standard: no OpenBook market creation (which used to cost 0.3+ SOL by itself), instant tradability, and support in every major aggregator including Jupiter. Your deposit sets the opening price — both amounts you supply define it.

The opening price

If you deposit 1,000,000 tokens and 10 SOL, the pool opens at 0.00001 SOL per token. Choose deliberately: an opening price far from where buyers value the token invites instant arbitrage against your liquidity.

What buyers check

Serious buyers look for revoked authorities and locked or burned liquidity. After opening the pool, burning the LP tokens (Bench: the crucible) or locking them strikes the shield hallmark on your forge certificate.

Costs

0.5 SOL forge fee + Raydium's 0.15 SOL protocol fee + ~0.03 SOL pool rent, all itemized. Your liquidity itself stays yours — it's a deposit, not a cost.
